$1M Lottery Payday: Ayer Man Chooses Rare Option For His Winnings

A Middlesex County man plans to renovate his house after landing a massive $1 million lottery jackpot earlier this month.

Robert H. Pare, of Ayer, won the payday playing the “$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks” $10 instant scratch-off game.

Pare took the rare choice of the annuity, which means he will receive $50,000 annually (before taxes) for 20 years rather than the lump sum payment of $650,000.

That money will go to renovate his home.

Pare bought the ticket at Nouria at 460 King St. in Littleton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
